The Edo Jar is a traditional Owen Family form that is heavily influenced by Ben Owen III's studies in ceramic design from the Edo period in Japanese culture. Copper Coral Glaze
Ben Owen III developed the Copper Coral glaze over the summer of 2025. To produce the variety of color, key elements present in the glaze include copper. This glaze can produce more of the turquoise-green tones in large sections across the surface of the pot. The blushes of red hue develop from the smoke of the flame within the gas kiln.
