Welcome to Ben Owen Pottery.  First established by Ben Owen Sr. in 1959, we are a multi-generational family business in Seagrove, North Carolina. Ben Owen III is the primary potter along with works by his children, Benjamin Owen IV and Juliana Owen, and assistant Bryan Pulliam.  Ben's forefathers came to NC from England as early as the late 1700s to ply their craft and furnish storage jars and other utilitarian wares to early settlers. Explore the work made onsite by our potters and history of this multi-generational clay family.

Return and Refund Policy

Ben Owen Pottery will only exchange items.  We do not offer refunds for work made for special orders or in store/online store purchases.  All of our work is hand made and one-of-a-kind.  We have a 30-day exchange policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request an exchange for another piece of pottery.  
Customer is responsible for shipping and insurance cost of the returned item to be exchanged, and, the shipping and insurance cost of the new replacement item to be sent from Ben Owen Pottery. It will be best to reuse the shipping box and packing material that was used for the initial shipment.

To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. There will be a 25% restocking fee for all exchanges following the first exchange.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is  damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.  Take photographs of the package, and item condition.  Save the packaging for inspection by shipper when the claim is processed.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
