Opal Blue
Opal Blue is a Ben Owen Pottery proprietary glaze blend developed by Ben Owen III. Aptly named for the variegated hues found in blue opals, Opal Blue Glaze offers an intensity and richness seldom captured in a pottery glaze. Each piece displays a beautiful and unique array of blue.
Ben III reserves the Opal Blue Glaze for pieces made with a red clay body. The dark iron-rich clay makes the perfect canvas to showcase this stunning glaze.
