This unique bowl reveals the many great qualities of Chinese Blue glaze. Hand-turned by Ben Owen III in 1985 with locally dug clay, this piece will be a great addition to any collection.
With a unique mottled effect of red and turquoise-blue hues, the color variation is created when carbon is introduced into the kiln environment. A chemical conversion of copper from green to red occurs all along the surface of the pot.
Serving bowls have been a part of the home setting for thousands of years.
