This Ming Bowl #2 nests with Ming Bowl #1.  Makes a perfect dual set.
Serving bowls have been a part of the home setting for thousands of years.  Offering guests, family, or friends a treat or special food dish has been a long-standing tradition across many cultures that continues today.  An arrangement of fresh flowers inside this bowl also provides a welcomed visual offering to visitors in any season.
This style of bowl is influenced by flair bowls seen in early styles of Korean pottery.  The low profile makes a great centerpiece on a table with a pottery or glass arrangement.  There is an option to hang this bowl on a wall, as well, if the base is wrapped with an attached cable.  The bowl may also be positioned in a bowl stand for display.  We do have an assortment of acrylic stands available through our Online Store.  Safe for food and microwave use.  Measuring 10.75” outer diameter x 9" inside diameter x 4.25”h.
Please Note: What appear to be white spots on the surface are reflections from photo lighting.

Ben Owen III developed the Blue Frost glaze, in 2013, as a variation of his popular Patina Green glaze.  The kiln is fired to over 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit and is meticulously controlled during the firing to accommodate the development of this unique finish.  The stunning result is a growth of tiny, frosty-gray matte crystals over a field of cool blue.  Key elements present in the glaze include copper, to produce the blue hue; and magnesium, to promote the textural quality.

This piece is hand-signed by Ben Owen III with the year made (2025).
