Juliana Owen (b. 2002), the second daughter of sixth-generation potter Ben Owen III, has been playing in clay since she was very small. Juliana began selling her work in our retail store when she was around 13 years old. She also enjoys creating sculptural clay work.
Juliana is a graduate of Boston College, where she majored in Marketing and Architecture Studies. Through her studies she has developed a line of folding handbags and dresses, which can be found on her website https://julianadowen.wixsite.com/my-site-2. She is very entrepreneurial and plans to explore production of her designs in the near future.
In her spare time, Juliana enjoys turning clay at the wheel alongside her father, Ben Owen III. This shared time together provides a space for Juliana to express her artistic nature while sharing her family’s long-standing tradition of creating with clay.
