A variation on the classic egg-shaped vase that has been made for three generations of Ben’s family. This form is heavily influenced by the Mei Peng style of vase design from the early Chinese clay culture. The vase is thrown on the potter's wheel and then altered into a melon-like shape to create a unique design.
Covered in a Ben Owen Pottery proprietary glaze blend, Opal Blue, each piece displays a beautiful array of variegated hues. The glaze was named after the incredible natural color of blue opals. Sure to become a favored piece of art in the home or office. Both decorative and functional. Measuring 5.75”w x 8.25”h.
