
This Bread Tray/Serving Dish in Orange glaze by Ben Owen Sr. makes a colorful addition to any kitchen. Perfect for displaying non-food items such as decorative ornaments and dried flower arrangements. May also be used for serving bread or rolls if lined with a decorative towel, parchment paper, aluminum foil, plastic food wrap, etc. Not for food, baking or liquid use due to the chemical components in the glaze. Signed with the stamp "Jugtown Ware". This stamp was used at Jugtown from 1923 through 1959. The potters who made work at Jugtown with this stamp were JH Owen (1923), Charlie Teague (1923–1931), and Ben Owen, Sr. (1923—1959). This piece is part of our "Pots From the Past" release. A treasured piece of North Carolina history!
