Serving bowls have been a part of the home setting for thousands of years. Offering guests, family, or friends a treat or special food dish has been a long-standing tradition across many cultures that continues today.
This style of bowl is influenced by flair bowls seen in early styles of Korean pottery. The low profile makes a great centerpiece on a table with a pottery or glass arrangement. The bowl may also be positioned in a bowl stand for display. We do have an assortment of acrylic stands available through our Online Store. Safe for food and microwave use. Measuring 12”dia. x 3”h.

Ben Owen III’s Pomegranate/Purple Haze glaze is a recent glaze venture developed by layering various proprietary copper glazes. This layering technique creates exquisite effects with an intentionally wide range of variations from piece to piece. From rich, dark reds to lighter berry-reds and all the way to vibrant blues and purples, the Pomegranate/Purple Haze glaze is truly an artistic approach to glaze formation. A treat to see with each kiln firing!
This piece is hand-signed by Ben Owen III with the year made (2023).
